Sometimes it is not easy to see behind the curtain. Products by Seventh Generation seemed to be the ethically correct choice, but what PeTA has to say about this company does not sound very reassuring:

“For years, caring consumers have purchased Seventh Generation products because the company does not test on animals. While this is still the case, Seventh Generation has been campaigning for federal legislation that would vastly increase the number of animals used in experiments in the United States. Tell Seventh Generation that you will not buy the company’s products until it cleans up its act.”
