If you want to get rid of the wild horses the federal land managers seem to believe that the easiest way to do this is to round the animals up and let them die of a heat stroke, thirst, or both.

Rounding up the wild horses and borros without adequate shelter is inhumane but done nevertheless.

“Recently the Associated Press reported that ‘Feds seek extra holding space for western mustangs’ (http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_26264815/feds-seek-extra-holding-space-western-mustangs) Sadly the BLM has made no changes to the shelterless holding facilities where captive wild horses suffer in extreme weather. There still is no shade for them in triple digit heat despite public outcry and offers to assist from more than a year ago and they want to roundup more!

Why is the BLM blatantly disregarding the 3 basics of animal husbandry: food, shelter, water?

We urge you to write your senators and congressional representative (http://www.contactingthecongress.org) a hand-written letter to their Washington, D.C. offices every week requesting they intervene to bring shelter to captive wild horses. If you live outside of the United States, please write the President at the White House requesting he intervene to take care of American symbols of freedom loved around the world.”
